North End Community Coalition
Melissa Gaston is a community organizer in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is a co-founder and the Executive Director for the non-profit, The North End Community Coalition (NECC).
I’ve been a home owner in the North End for the past 3 years, and I’ve lived in Charlotte for 15 years. I’m passionate about up-cycling, sustainability, gardening, building, community, volunteering and creating.
Cianna Edwards is a resident of Brightwalk in the North End community. She has a strong interest in building a sense of community.
Kate Flynn aims to be a catalyst for positive change in her hometown of Charlotte, NC. She uses her talents as a strategic thinker and facilitator to engage, encourage and challenge groups of people toward self-discovery and impact through education, discussion, and advocacy.
Adrienne and her husband, Kinson live in Charlotte, NC where she serves as a resident leader. Her other current volunteer leadership includes membership to the City of Charlotte's Community Relations Committee, Alumnae Advisor to the Alpha Gamma chapter of Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. at Davidson College, Administrative Board Member for the Cornell University Council and a Big Sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Carolinas.
Melanie is a licensed architect and interior designer. She has lived in the Park at Oaklawn neighborhood for 14 years with her architect-husband, their two children (ages 10 and 11), and two guinea pigs.
Sharon moved to Genesis Park in May, 1995. She is the founder and Director of the New Generation Marching Band of Druid Hills. I hold the position of President of Genesis Park. I am one the original founders of NECC (North End Community Coalition) and board member.
